Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my spot on the ILWS Mini Catalogue Blog Hop this morning.  If you are new to my blog and have come via Sarah's blog, thank you for joining me!

For my two projects, I took my inspiration from the one of the projects on Page 6 of the Mini Catalogue and fell in love with Baja Breeze and Blushing Bride together.

On the card, I've used some Patterned Paper from the Greenhouse Gala collection - love the more muted sides of those papers!  The main card was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and the main flowers are made using the Fun Flowers Bigz L Dies.  A strip of Blushing Bride pink card edged with my ever faithful Scallop Trim Border punch and wrapped in the gorgeous new Baja Breeze Seam Binding.

The sentiment stamp is from the Perfect Punches set stamped in Blushing Bride ink and the word friend has been coloured in with my Baja Breeze marker pen.  All punched out using the Curly Label Punch too.  Once I'd made the card, I wanted to make a little something to go with it and had to use the Pillow Box die.  It's smaller than I was expecting but far prefer the dinkier size that it is!

So, I used the same Baja Breeze and Blushing Bride colours and die cut a Pillow Box and then ran it through the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder again.  I used some of the In Colour Paper Stack edged with the Scallop Trim Border to wrap around the centre.  Tied a bit of the Baja Breeze Seam Binding around and added some butterflies with probably my most favourite thing from the new catalogue - the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die.  It cuts and embosses the patterns on the butterflies all in one go - for just £10.50!! Gorgeous!
