Congratulations on your interest in becoming a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.
Here is some information on how for just £99, you can become part of our Stampin’ Up! family. To be a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, you need to join under a Demonstrator who would become your Team Leader. In the UK, there are more than 2000 Demonstrators, so why should you choose to sign up with me?
Well………I’m a positive, enthusiastic person with a passion to create and share that with others. I love crafting and rubber-stamping and all of the co-ordinating products that Stampin’ Up! provide. I teach Cardmaking and Papercrafting across the UK and Europe. I have also been regularly published, and been the Editor, of several of the High Street Craft Magazines.
Since I have been with Stampin’ Up!, I have ranked in the Top 10 UK Demonstrators and also earnt nine years Incentive Trips to Monaco, Prague, Vienna, Utah, the Caribbean, Madeira, a Mediterranean cruise, a trip to Thailand and a cruise around Alaska!
You can find out even more about me by going to my ABOUT ME PAGE.
To join our group of passionate papercrafters, you have to join under another person. By choosing me, you will become part of my group of Stampin’ Stars and I’ll provide you with all the help and support you need — but I will never pressure you to do anything that you don’t want to – that’s a promise!
Whether your goals are to just support your paper-crafting or stamping habit, or you want to build a successful business, I am here to help. If you want to take advantage of the discounts and never run workshops, that is fine – you can join and get a great discount for you and your friends and family.
The Stampin’ Stars are a fabulous group of people who love what they do and share what they love with others! I love my Stampin’ Up! business and my team are a vital part of that business – I would never have achieved the promotions and awards I have without them.
I would love you be a part of my team for the friendship, support, inspiration and above all, the fun we share.
Here are answers to some Frequently Asked Questions:
What will I do as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator?
The choice is completely yours.
You can just buy for yourself and receive the discount, but often people will share their love of paper crafting with family and friends. You can also run home parties, classes or even share on a one to one basis. If you choose to, you will also help others enjoy the fun and flexibility of running their own Stampin’ Up! business. But it’s all up to you!
Will I receive support and training as a Demonstrator?
As a demonstrator you will become part of our fabulous group and I’ll provide you with all the help and support you need but you also get support from Stampin’ Up! too:
- A password protected demonstrator website which has lots of resources, patterns, template libraries and an on-line ordering system.
- A full colour quarterly magazine called Stampin’ Success with creative and business ideas just for demonstrators.
- A free phone number to contact the knowledgeable and friendly Demonstrator Support team.
- An achievable incentive program for income and awards if you choose to aspire to them.
- Regular local field training dates throughout the year.
How will I make money as a Demonstrator?
Since people pay you directly, you will keep a minimum of 20% of each order placed at the time of payment, this is called “Instant Income”. You can earn additional money through Volume Rebates when your monthly sales are a certain amount. If you build a team, you can also earn monthly team commissions as well.
Do people really make money at this?
YES!! Depending on how much time you want to put into your business, you can make whatever income you desire! It is totally up to you!
Do I have to recruit other Demonstrators?
Of course not!! Having a downline is not a requirement, it is a perk! We have the opportunity to earn a commission based on our team’s sales! However, it is also a responsibility. You will need to support your team and give them training to help them achieve their goals.
What are the minimum sales requirements?
To renew your Demonstrator Benefits, you will need to sell a minimum of £270 (catalogue price) per three months. Most demonstrators find that this goal can be reached in one or two parties – or with their own purchases. Your first target doesn’t start until the quarter following the quarter that you join. i.e. if you join on 1 January, you do not have to have met your first minimum target until 30 JUNE!! – so it can actually be nearly six months to start with.
What if I only want to do this as a hobby? Do I still have to do workshops?
Absolutely not!! Stampin’ Up! and I support all demonstrators in the same way. You only need to do parties or classes if you want to. You can put in your own orders or collect orders from family & friends, whatever you wish.
Do I have to hold stocks of product?
No. You will only order items when someone places an order and pays you in advance.
How much does it cost to get started?
The Starter Kit is only £99 for a total of £130 of product. This kit is customisable (choose £130 of products of your own choice and then you’ll also get a Business Supplies pack to get your business up and running if you choose to. You do not need anything else apart from your Starter Kit to be able to begin parties or classes straight away.
What if I decide it’s not for me once I’ve started? Will I be penalised if I quit?
You simply stop placing orders. If you don’t meet the minimum quarterly requirement, you just resign – no questions asked! Well, apart from to check that you are okay :).
What kind of incentives will I receive as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator?
As a new demonstrator, you will have the opportunity to earn flex points for your sales and recruiting achievements (you can buy Stampin’ Up! products and more with your flex points – think Tesco Clubcard points type of thing!).
You have the ability to be your own “hostess” and earn free hostess sets and products on your own personal orders or orders that you collect from others.
You can also work to achieve the annual incentive trip. I have earnt eight all expenses paid trips and Stampin’ Up! gives you lots of opportunity to achieve the trip through either sales and promotions of your team or both. It really is achievable!
Where do I get ideas for my parties and classes?
Stampin’ Up! has many resources for demonstrators, including the Catalogue, a great bi-monthly magazine, a fantastic website for demonstrators only, and much more. You will also have my help, support and training too.
Are there any Stampin’ Up! events that I can attend as a new Demonstrator?
Yes, On Stage happens twice throughout the year. I also run regular meetings with my team, which are great fun and it is great to meet up with like minded people who understand.
I hope I have answered some of your questions.
